    Kalki 2898 AD Final Box Office: 1000 Cr But With Conditions

    Kalki 2898 AD has made an impressive mark ranking as the fifth highest-grossing film in Indian box office history and the seventh highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.

    The film wrapped up its theatrical run with very low earnings in its eighth week, bringing in less than Rs. 30 lakhs in India. It premiered on OTT recently Thursday, which typically signals the end of its theatrical run.

    Overall, Kalki 2898 AD has earned approximately Rs. 735 crore at the Indian box office and USD 29 million (around Rs. 245 crore) internationally, totaling a worldwide gross of about Rs. 975-980 crore, according to the trade.

    Including 3D charges, the film’s total gross in India is estimated at around Rs. 790 crore and approximately Rs. 1030 crore worldwide.

    The makers however have announced that the film has crossed the 1100 crore mark.

    Kalki 2898 AD had a strong start with a first-day collection exceeding Rs. 100 crore. It maintained this momentum with a solid performance throughout July and into early August.

    The film saw widespread success, including in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, regions where Prabhas’ films have traditionally struggled.

    The standout performances were in Nizam, Karnataka, and the Hindi-speaking regions. In Nizam, Kalki 2898 AD became the second-highest-grossing film ever, just behind RRR.

    Internationally, Kalki 2898 AD also made a significant impact. It is the second highest-grossing Telugu film overseas, excluding Japan, and holds the title of the second highest-grossing Indian film in the United States, trailing only behind Baahubali 2. In Canada, it set a record as the highest-grossing Tollywood film.
