Due to HYDRAA, Janwada farmhouse, which Congres claims to be owned by BRS working president KT Ramarao, has come into the news again.

The Janwada farmhouse controversy began when BRS was in the rule in Telangana. Current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who was an MP back then, filed a petition at the National Green Tribunal (NGT) against this farmhouse.

He alleged that the farmhouse was illegally constructed in the GO 111 region, which comes under the preserved areas of Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar reservoirs.

Revanth alleged that the farmhouse is actually owned by KTR but it is in the name of his benami, Pradeep Reddy Badvelu.

The NGT received Revanth’s petition and ordered to form a joint committee to investigate the case.

On the other side, KTR denied the ownership of the farmhouse and Pradeep Reddy filed a petition in the High Court stating that his construction was legal.

Pradeep requested the High Court to stay NGT’s order. After examining the case, the High Court ordered an interim stay.

Cut to the present day, with HYDRAA constantly demolishing illegal constructions in the GO 111 area, Pradeep filed a petition in the High Court once again.

He stated that his farmhouse is being falsely linked to KTR and added that the Congress government may demolish it with a political motive. The High Court is yet to hear the petition and its verdict will be crucial in deciding the fate of this Janwada Farmhouse.
