Sankranti 2023 has turned out to be a very prosperous one for the Telugu film industry. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is rocking the worldwide box office with stunning collections. The entertainment factor and mass elements were the key reason behind the film’s success. Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy is one more biggie that was released this festive season.
The movie is heading toward the biggest hit in the actor’s career, and Balakrishna now has back-to-back hits to his name. The action sequences played a pivotal role in the success. Apart from these two biggies, Thalapathy Vijay’s family drama Vaarasudu was also released, and it is also doing very good business at the ticket windows.
After decent performance during the weekdays, the three films are looking forward to minting some good numbers this weekend. However, the icing on the cake is the upcoming weekend with the Republic Day holiday advantage. Starting next Thursday, the movies have a fair chance to maximize the collections till Sunday.
The collections might see a dip at the beginning of the next week, but once the long weekend starts, it will be highly advantageous for all the films. Though the movies lose screens due to Pathaan’s release, the long weekend advantage should reflect in bigger numbers. So let’s see how all three will make use of this opportunity.
