KTR is trying to corner CM Revanth Reddy for installing Rajiv Gandhi’s statue before the Secretariat. He announced demolishing the statue after coming to power and replacing it with the ‘Telangana Thalli’ statue.
KTR questioned the relevance of Gandhis to Telangana and even vowed to change the name of the International Airport.

Revanth Reddy gave a strong retort to it earlier today.
“If you touch Rajiv Gandhi, we will hit you with slippers. BRS is speaking arrogantly. How will the party that could not even get a deposit think of winning? Why didn’t u set up Telangana Thalli idol in 10 years?” Revanth Reddy questioned.

He asserted that he would erect an idol of Telangana Thalli inside the Secretariat itself before December 9th.
However, Revanth Reddy did not stop there.
“KTR wants to keep KCR’s idol before the Secretariat. When will his father go (die), when will he keep the idol there?,” Revanth Reddy lashed out.
The worst culture of talking about the death of the opponents probably exists only in the Telugu States.
We have seen the same culture in Andhra Pradesh. Everyone from the Top Leadership to the MLAs, used to speak very cheaply about Chandrababu Naidu without giving any respect to his age or experience.
The people of Andhra Pradesh gave a resounding slap to all such leaders. We have seen them defeat every single leader who was arrogant and disrespectful.
Leaders who were winning numerous elections back to back also bit the dust. YSR Congress was down from 151 seats to just eleven.
Revanth Reddy should learn this lesson. There should be a limit in political criticism. If the limit is breached, we will see the people taking it very seriously.
Arrogance is a very crucial reason for KCR’s defeat in December 2023. And then, there is Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh.
Revanth Reddy can ignore two lessons at his own peril.
If the ego comes in the way to take the example of KCR, he should take the example of his fellow Reddy.
