Hanu Raghavapudi Imanvi Prabhas

Prabhas’ next film, tentatively titled Fauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, was launched on August 17 in Hyderabad. This much-anticipated historical drama will feature Prabhas sharing screen space with debutante Imanvi, whose real name is Iman Esmail.

Imanvi, already popular on social media with over 750,000 Instagram followers and 450,000 YouTube subscribers, is set to make her film debut in this project.

Hanu Raghavapudi is popular for his ability to create memorable and impactful roles for his heroines. Much like Mani Ratnam and Yash Chopra, Raghavapudi ensures that his female leads are not merely ornamental but central to the narrative, providing them with rich, author-backed roles.

From Andaala Rakshasi to Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha, Padi Padi Leche Manasu, and Sita Ramam, his filmography highlights his commitment to strong female characters, irrespective of hits or flops.

With his upcoming film starring Prabhas, there are high hopes that Hanu will give Imanvi a strong role.

However, given she looks very young to Prabhas, it remains to be seen if Hanu Raghavapudi can balance this age gap and create a role that becomes memorable like Mrunal Thakur’s in Sita Ramam.

Recent backlash over the age gap between Ravi Teja and Bhagyashri Borse in Mr. Bachchan has highlighted the difficulty of convincing audiences of a believable romantic pairing.

If Hanu Raghavapudi fails to address this, it could lead to similar criticism. Ensuring that Prabhas and Imanvi’s on-screen romance feels authentic will be a crucial test for the director.

It is going to be a huge challenge for him to convince the audience that Prabhas and Imanvi are actually a romantic pair.
