The iconic duo of Bollywood who have shaped Hindi cinema as we know it are not ready to settle as veterans yet. True to the motto of “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost”, they have excited the fans with their latest announcement at a press meet. Salim-Javed is the writer duo behind many successful films like Sholay, Zanzeer, Deewar, Trishul and many more. With a successful career-span of decades, and 1970’s & 80’s being their peak, they have truly earned the respect of Bollywood lovers.
Their children Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Salman Khan have now produced a docu-series based on their life and career. Angry Young Man, named after the successful character type the duo generated, is the docu-series that will be released at Amazon Prime on 20 August. It brings their behind the screen struggles and precious moments for their fans. It was during a press meet for the project that Javed Akhtar surprised the fans by revealing that he and Salim Khan are going to work on a film script soon. He was seen suggesting to his writing partner Salim Khan that they can at least tell one more story together, if at all this might be their last!

So, fans can’t wait to witness this partnership again. All the generations that have grown up on their films are ready to reminisce about the magic of old days one more time. Afterall films like the golden age of Salim-Javed are not being released anymore which is unfortunate for the industry. It would be interesting to follow how the project unfolds, who takes up the filmmaking and production is a concern for much later but the fans would surely be eager to know more.
