Maruti Suzuki releases TVC for the Jimny 5 door off road SUV

Apart from the crossover SUV Fronxs’ debut at the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki also introduced the long-awaited lifestyle off-roader Jimny five-door. Just like the Fronx, the company also commenced the bookings for the new 4X4 SUV for an amount of Rs 11,000. According to reports the company will start delivering the vehicles soon as well. Following the unveil, Maruti Suzuki also released the official TVC for the Jimny five-door.

The newly released TVC begins with a person waking up in a cabin and surrounded by snow. The person then prepares a hot drink and then leaves the home and gets inside the Jimny which sits covered in a huge amount of snow. The driver then starts the vehicle and uses the windshield wipers to wipe off the ice. following this he starts his journey on a long mountain road which is also covered in thick snow. The vehicle can be seen moving up the mountain in an effortless manner. The video then shows Jimny in detail while driving accentuating the off-road stylistic elements of the SUV.

Following this the next scene begins in which a couple in South Africa jumps inside their Jimny and travels through rough terrains. The voiceover in the official TVC then says that the couple start their journey to cover the 5 famous peaks of South Africa. The video then shows the driver driving the Jimny in treacherous roads and putting the using the low range gearbox. Then in the third scene the Jimny is shown driving through the Pit of Bones in Spain. (More than 1,600 human fossils, including several nearly complete skulls, have been found in this anthropological and archaeological site).

The Jimny then can been seen driving through a trench. Following this a Jimny driving through through feet in snow in Madrid, Spain where a family taking their new born to their home can be seen in the video. During the same scene the car also crosses small river, dirt roads and finally a desert. The voiceover in the ends by saying the Jimny is inspired to true stories.

The five-door Jimny is a larger version of the three-door model which the company has been offering to the international markets for a while now.  The company offers its proprietary Suzuki AllGrip off-road system as standard on the all-new Jimny five-door. It is a four-wheel-drive technology that allows the Jimny to traverse rough terrain. In India, it will be the sole model in the Maruti Suzuki lineup to have a 4X4 system.

The 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated K15C Dualjet engine that powers the revised Ertiga, XL6, and brand-new Brezza and a ton of other Maruti Suzuki products will also power the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. This engine generates 134.2 Nm of maximum torque and 104.8 PS of maximum power when assisted by a mild hybrid system. While a 5-speed manual transmission will be available as standard, a 4-speed torque converter will also be made available as an option. The engine has been modified by Maruti Suzuki to make it better suited for off-road driving.
