Disney is ready to bring an international project named Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to The Lion King, 2020. The film is directed by Barry Jenkins, and Hans Zimmer is the music producer who will be creating a spellbinding collaboration in this adventurous-musical.

After the adventures of Simba in The Lion King, this film recounts the story of Mufasa and his story of becoming the king of the jungle. It has been confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and his sons AbRam and Aryan will be giving Hindi voice overs to the central characters. Shah Rukh will give voice to Mufasa, Aryan to Simba and AbRam to the young Mufasa. Earlier, both Shah Rukh and his son Aryan gave an impactful voice over to Mufasa and Simba in The Lion King. The film gained major attention in India with the Hindi dubbing and it was heavily streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

Shah Rukh stated that his involvement in the project is really special to him. It is something he shares with his son Aryan and the legacy will be taken forward with the involvement of AbRam now.
