Storyboard artist Venugopal recently revealed that Kamal Haasan was the first choice for the antagonist role. However, the makers had considered Mohanlal as a backup if Kamal did not agree to join the project.

Mohanlal isn’t that popular in tier-2 and tier-3 cities of North India.
