Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh are reuniting for the sequel to the hit film iSmart Shankar. The new movie, titled Double Ismart, is set to hit theaters on August 15, five years after its predecessor.
Given the success of the original, there are some expectations for this sequel.

However, the film is already surrounded by controversy. Rumors suggest that Puri Jagannadh is facing issues with distributors due to the losses from his previous film, Liger.
In the meantime, the team has announced that the trailer for Double Ismart will be released on August 4. The trailer launch will take place in Vizag, and the film team is planning a pre-release event soon.

There is speculation that Pan India star Prabhas might make an appearance at this event as the special guest.
Prabhas and Puri Jagannadh share a strong friendship, having collaborated on films like Bujjigadu and Ek Niranjan. Puri played a significant role in elevating Prabhas’ career and also he was the one who made Prabhas a darling among fans. Prabhas has previously supported Puri’s projects.

It is rumored that Prabhas may extend his support for Double Ismart as well by attending the pre-release event, though nothing is confirmed as yet.
