Vamsi is named as the 71st accused in the case of the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. Already 18 people have been arrested in this case.

Although Vamsi was not directly involved in the attack, there are allegations that YSR Congress mobs created havoc with his instigation as an MLA.

Until recently, the YSR Congress government was in power and the police, who were almost Vamsi’s own men, were in key positions, so no action was taken in this case.

As soon as the coalition government came to power, special attention was paid to Vamsi’s anarchy. Orders have been issued to the police to take action against the perpetrators of the attack on the TDP office. On the 9th of last month, the police arrested 15 people, including Bapulapadu MPP Nagesh, and later three others. The rest are absconding.

However, criticism poured in from TDP ranks that the police had left many key accused including Vamsi. Vamsi has been harassing the party cadre for four years and also filed illegal cases during the Yuvagalam padayatra in the constituency.

Gangadhara Rao, who has recently taken charge as the District SP, has paid special attention to this matter.

Ever since the election results, Vamsi shifted his family to Hyderabad and is not coming to the constituency. Three special teams went to Hyderabad on Thursday. But there is a rumor that Vamsi has already left America.

TDP cadre across the state were disgruntled with the way Chevireddy Mohith was released after the arrest. The arrest of Vamsi will pacify them big time. It is known to our readers that Vamsi was the one who started cheap allegations against Nara Bhuvaneshwari.
