The facelift in both cars has brought some key changes to their exterior designs. Talking about the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios first, the hatchback now gets a reworked front grille, which has an edgy and partitioned design and gets new tri-arrow-shaped daytime running LEDs and air intakes on the front bumper. The updated Grand i10 Nios also gets a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels and new LED tail lamps with a connected LED light bar. In addition to the erstwhile colour options – Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue and Fiery Red, there is a new Spark Green paint shade option, in addition to the two new dual-tone paint options – Spark Green with black roof and Polar White with black roof.

The new Hyundai Aura also gets a heavily-reworked front fascia, comprising of a more upright nose and a two-part grille, with repositioned Hyundai logo and L-shaped daytime running LEDs on the edges of the front bumper. Unlike the Grand i10 Nios, there are no fog lamps in the Hyundai Aura. The side and rear profiles of the new Aura remain unchanged, with the sedan retaining its 15-inch alloy wheels, Z-themed LED tail lamps and boot-mounted spoiler. The updated Aura also gets a new Starry Night paint option.

The cabin layout in the updated versions of Grand i10 Nios and Aura remains unchanged, though both of them get new upholsteries with the leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, footwell lighting and metal finish for the inner door handles. Both the cars get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless charger, type-C charging ports, automatic headlamps, tyre pressure monitoring system and a 3.5-inch digital display in the instrument console. The facelifted versions also get standard four airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX mounts for child seats, with range-topping variants getting two additional airbags.

No change in powertrain

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Aura facelift launched

The updated Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Aura will continue to be powered with the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Available with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options in both cars, this engine produces 83 bhp of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of maximum torque. Both the cars will also get CNG-powered variants, in which the engine will get the assistance of a factory-fitted CNG kit, with which it claims 69 bhp of maximum power and 95.2 Nm of maximum torque. The new versions of both these cars will not be offered with the erstwhile-available 1.2-litre diesel engine and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

While the updated Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will take on similarly-priced cars like Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Punch, the tweaked Hyundai Aura will take on its rivals like Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. The prices of both these cars will be announced at the Auto Expo 2023.
