    Hussain Sagar reaches Full Tank Level, IMD issues orange alert for parts of Telangana


    The Hussain Sagar lake on Monday evening crossed its Full Tank Level (FTL) capacity with the water level being reported as 513.43 meters, with the Full Tank Level being 513.41 meters and the Maximum Water Level at 514.75 meters.

    Following heavy rains on Sunday evening in the city, the water levels at Hussain Sagar Lake have reached almost its Full Tank Level prompting the authorities to strictly monitor the water level, in Hyderabad on Monday.

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for parts of Telangana on Tuesday stating that heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Karimnagar, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanamkonda districts.

    A yellow alert has been issued for the same day stating that heavy rain is very likely to occur in Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli, Khammam, Jangaon, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

    As for Hyderabad and its neighbourhood, for the next 48 hours, there will be generally cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with lightning and gusty winfs are very likely to occur in the city towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29 and 22 respectively.
