Samsung introduced Galaxy AI – a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features earlier this year. Powered by Google’s Gemini foundational models, the Galaxy AI includes new generative AI-powered text, image, and video editing tools.

According to a recent leak, Samsung’s Galaxy AI may get a language translation feature during WhatsApp calls. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster Ice Universe wrote “Galaxy AI will power WhatsApp real-time translation”. This means that the new feature would allow real-time translation of conversations during WhatsApp calls for the Samsung Galaxy users.

The feature is expected to be rolled out with the next version of Samsung UI. While the tipster does not reveal more information about the upcoming feature, it is expected to be announced at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10.

It is tipped that Samsung may also bring the live translation feature to other apps as well like Google Meet.
