Infinix is expected to release yet another phone from its Note 40 series called the Note 40s, to join its Note 40, Note 40 Pro and Note 40 Pro+ siblings. We have even had an extensive review of the Note 40 Pro+. The Note 40s surfaced surprisingly on Infinix’s official website with specs and everything.

As expected, the Note 40s has very similar specs to its relatives. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with FHD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and it’s curved to the sides. By the looks of it, it’s the same panel used in the Note 40 Pro+, which we’ve tested and we were pleased with the results.

The more powerful Dimensity 7020 SoC has been replaced for the Helio G99 in the Note 40s case and is coupled with just one memory configuration – 8GB/256GB.

The camera department also seems borrowed from the Pro+ as it offers a 108MP f/1.9, main camera, coupled with a 2MP macro shooter. The front houses a 32MP f/2.2 selfie unit.

The whole hardware is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which is more than what the Pro+ offers, but charging speed is limited to just 33W, as opposed to the speedy 100W supported by the Plus.

Other notable features include discreet LED lighting on the back, which Infinix calls Active Halo Design, IP54 ingress protection against splashes and dust, JBL-tuned stereo speakers and a MagKit case that allows you to use a MagPad wireless charger as the handset supports wireless charging at up to 20W. That’s one rare feature in the price bracket.
