Pune, 23rd June 2024: Following media reports exposing a late-night party at L3 – Liquid Leisure Lounge on FC Road, Pune city police have launched an investigation. Five individuals have been detained, and two police personnel have been suspended for negligence.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Sandeep Singh Gill provided details of the incident, stating, “An incident has come to light at L3 pub on FC Road in Pune. L3 bar has two owners who have rented it out to three individuals. This new bar has been operational since June. A party was arranged at night, with 40 to 50 people in attendance. The main entry was closed at 1 am. The party was organized by a person named Akshay Kamthe. Five people have been detained, and the investigation is ongoing. The bar has been sealed.”

DCP Gill also mentioned that two youths seen consuming drugs in the videos are under investigation. “We have not received any complaints about this bar before,” he added.
In response to the incident, two beat marshals from the Pune police have been suspended for negligence. DCP Gill confirmed the disciplinary action, emphasizing the importance of accountability within the police force.
