Apple, a leading tech player has confirmed to roll out the new iOS 18 Beta 2 tomorrow, which will be available for the users (June 24, 2024). The new rollout is coming out just two weeks after the initial announcement of iOS 18 which was made at WWDC 2024. The major update is the two key features which will be introduced with the new beta version- iPhone Mirroring and improved SharePlay screen sharing.

Phased rollout of iOS 18 features

While Apple has unleashed a range of new features for the iOS 18, unfortunately, some of the users will not be able to use them (due to available concerns) until 2025 (later that year). The remaining features are expected to launch eventually via the beta testing process.

    What’s new in iOS 18 Beta 2?

    • iPhone Mirroring: One of the long-awaited features which enables users to mirror their iPhone’s display onto their Mac computer (PC). Users will be able to interact with their iPhones directly via using the display of the Mac. Not only this, they will also get notifications on the Mac, and users can seamlessly drag and drop their files between devices without unlocking their iPhones and doing crucial processes.
    • Enhanced SharePlay screen sharing: SharePlay will be leaping ahead, and will have the ability to draw on another person’s screen during a video call. This will enable the user to guide them via tasks or collaborate visually.

You could also control their screen and take action on their behalf.

    Additional bug fixes and tweaks

Along with the above-mentioned new features, the iOS 18 Beta 2 is further expected to address bugs and make adjustments to the new features which were introduced in the initial beta.

Apple intelligence features delayed in the EU

It is important to note that Apple Intelligence and certain other iOS 18 features will be delayed in the European Union due to the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
