The Android 15 OS update is just a few months away and various Android manufacturers have started teasing their UI iterations with this major update. Following the same path, Nothing CEO Carl Pei has given a sneak peek of the Nothing OS 3.0 on X, based on Android 15. In the post, Pei shared a few images of the new OS revealing its new lockscreen customization features.

Further, the images reveal three new lock screen modes: Default, Clock + Widgets, and Expanded Widget Area. The Clock + Widgets style can be seen sporting additional features along with a change in the clock widget. We can also see a new dotted font, accompanied by a weather widget, a contact widget, and a shortcut for customizable quick actions.

Beyond lock screen customization, Pei also teased new interactive Nothing dot animations that will be part of Nothing OS 3.0. These new animation effects are expected to enhance the visual appeal of the Nothing OS 3.0. The interactive dot animation will have three layers: an input image layer, a live interaction layer, and a final output layer.

Nothing OS 3.0 is expected to feature a new native gallery and community app as well. Pei says that an official announcement regarding Nothing OS 3.0 will take place in September, and we can also expect the Nothing Phone 2a to launch alongside.

Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is also gearing up to launch its first smartphone in India soon with a rotating dial and unique orange and black colourways.
