    VIJAYAWADA: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu will take oath as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday along with his council of ministers. The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, Union minister Bandi Sanjay and other NDA leaders.
    Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is likely to be the deputy chief minister with a key portfolio.Jana Sena is likely to get three more cabinet berths, with Naidu leaving the decision on picking the candidates to Pawan.
    Naidu was unanimously elected as leader of NDA legislature party in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. Pawan proposed his name while BJP state president D Purandeswari seconded it. The MLAs of the three parties passed a unanimous resolution electing Naidu as their leader.
    The resolution was handed over to governor Abdul Nazeer by TDP state president K Atchennaidu, Purandeswari, and Jana Sena PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar expressing willingness to form the govt. Subsequently, the governor formally invited NDA to form the govt and a notification was issued.
    Later on Tuesday, Naidu met the governor and informed him about the swearing-in ceremony, which will be held at Kesarapalli near Vijayawada at 11:27am.
    Shah, Nadda, and Sanjay arrived in Vijayawada on Tuesday night and called on Naidu at his home.
    Tollywood actors Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Mohan Babu, Tamil superstar Rajnikanth are also likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
    BJP, which has eight MLAs, is likely to get one or two positions in the cabinet. The names of Sujana Chowdary, Vishnu Kumar Raju and Satya Kumar are doing the rounds. The upper limit of the Andhra Pradesh cabinet in the 175-member assembly is 26, including the CM.
    If the alliance partners get six ministers, TDP will get the remaining 20 berths. Naidu is likely to give a major share to Backward Classes communities by inducting around eight members from this section. Kammas and Kapus are likely to get four ministers each while the Reddy community could get three. There could be two members from SCs, one from STs and one from the Vaisya community. Three women are likely to be inducted into the cabinet.
    Among the TDP frontrunners for the new cabinet are Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, P Narayana, Dhilipalla Narendra, K Atchannaidu, Kala Venkata Rao, Payyavula Keshav, Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and Gottipati Ravi. Sources said Naidu did an elaborate exercise to select his cabinet members to balance caste and regional equations and give representation to all social groups.
    Sources said Naidu tried to invite outgoing CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the swearing-in ceremony and himself called him on phone, but the latter was not available.
