Actress Natasa Stankovic and Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya are in the middle of divorce rumours right now. The couple, who has been married for four years now, sparked divorce speculations after Natasa dropped his name from her Instagram handle. To top it off, she chose to not comment on the rumours when she recently stepped out. While fans are waiting for them to clear the air on their relationship, did you know that Hardik had decided to marry Natasa without consulting his parents?

Back in 2020, Hardik surprised everyone by announcing that he is engaged to Natasa. On New Year’s Day, the cricketer shared pictures with her on Instagram and announced their engagement. A few months later, they announced that they got married in an intimate ceremony during the lockdown and are also expecting their first baby. They eventually welcomed their son, Agastya later that year.

In 2020, speaking with Harsha Bhogle on a Cricbuzz show, Hardik revealed that he decided to propose to Natasa without discussing it with his family. “My parents also didn’t know that I was getting engaged. Two days before (the engagement), I told Krunal. I told him, ‘I have had enough. I have found someone in my life who I love, and I am becoming better’. They (family) backed me and told ‘do whatever you want,’” he said at the time.

He added that Natasa did not know he was a popular cricketer when they first met. “I got her by talking. She saw someone in a hat at a place where I met her, wearing a hat, a chain, a watch, at 1 am. So she thought he is ‘alag prakaar ka aadmi aaya’ (different kind of person came),” he said, recalling their first meeting.

“That is when I started talking to her, started knowing each other. Then, we started dating. Then got engaged on December 31,” Hardik added at the time.

Their alleged separation caught everyone’s attention after a Reddit post titled “Natasa and Hardik separated?” went viral. The post claimed that the two have not been posting pictures with each other and questioned Natasa’s absence from IPL 2024 matches.

“Her birthday was on 4th March, and there was no post from Hardik on that day; she also removed all recent posts of her and Hardik except the one where Agastya was with them. Also, she isn’t seen in stands this IPL or post stories regarding the team. While Krunal and Pankhuri still comment on her posts, something is definitely off between both of them,” it added.
