NEW DELHI: A video footage has emerged on social media showing a Hamas operative, Jamal Hussein Ahmad Radi, 47, and his 18-year-old son, Abdallah, confessing to Israeli interrogators on how they took turns raping a woman, after which they killed her during the Oct. 7 terror rampage.
The father and son were captured by the Israel Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip earlier this year and questioned about the incident, as reported by the Daily Mail.
‘I did what I did’
In the video, Jamal recounts discovering a woman who was “screaming” and “crying” inside a house at Kibbutz Nir Oz, a community situated near the Israel-Gaza border.
“I did what I did, I raped her. I threatened her with my gun to take her clothes off, I remember she was wearing jean shorts, that’s about it,” he was seen saying in the video.
Jamal claimed to have no knowledge of what happened to the woman after the assault, his son Abdallah provides a chilling account of the events that followed.
“My father raped her, then I did and then my cousin did and then we left but my father killed the woman after we finished raping her,” Abdallah confesses in the video.
Without any remorse in handcuffs
In the video, Jamal was seen wearing a gray tracksuit and handcuffs, was seated in front of an Israeli flag. He said, “In each house where we found someone, we either killed them or kidnapped them.”
Jamal recounted, without any apparent remorse, the gruesome details of entering a home and murdering the couple who had sought refuge inside.
“In the first house, I found a woman and her husband, and we hit them with fire and killed them … they were in their late 40s,” he said.
The disturbing interviews of Jamal and Abdallah rapidly circulated on social media platforms, where appalled viewers remarked on the manner in which both individuals described the heinous acts.
Five female soldiers video
The release of the father and son’s interviews closely followed the aired footage of five female soldiers that were captured by Hamas gunmen during the October 7 raid that triggered the Gaza war. “These girls are still in the captivity of Hamas. Please don’t look away,” Israeli government spokesperson David Mencer told reporters. “Watch the film. Support Israel in bringing our people home.”
The footage shows the young women, all of them stunned and some bloodied, being bound and bundled into a jeep. One of the gunmen can be heard shouting back in Arabic: “You are dogs! We will step on you, dogs!”
However Hamas defended its fighters’ conduct and called the video a bid to manipulate public opinion.
