According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich is hesitant to pay the hefty €20 million transfer fee demanded by Burnley for Vincent Kompany. In addition, Plettenberg refuted reports that Kompany is already in Munich:
News #Kompany | Negotiations ongoing between Bayern and Burnley with Bayern‘s decision not to spend the €20m transfer fee demanded!
Kompany, NOT in Munich right now. Still waiting for the light to join Bayern.

This would not be the first time during this coaching search that a deal hit a late roadblock. However, Bayern Munich seems a little more desperate this time around to get a deal done. Will the club shell out the money required to land Kompany…or will this be the latest in a long time of late hiccups on the way to hiring a new coach?
