CSK fans on cloud nine as Virat Kohli’s wait for title win continues. RCB was knocked down by RR in 2024 eliminator match.
RCB’s quest for an IPL title remains unfulfilled as they crashed out of the 2024 season after a defeat to RR. Faf du Plessis and his team had been riding a six-game winning streak, only to stumble in the seventh against Sanju Samson’s squad. Rajasthan Royals triumphed by four wickets, moving on to Qualifier 2, much to the delight of their fans. However, CSK supporters, still smarting from their own exit, couldn’t resist joining the fun, trolling Royal Challengers Bengaluru mercilessly because why not?
The rivalry between CSK and RCB fans is never-ending and has only intensified since their crucial face-off on May 18 in Bengaluru, where RCB beat Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs, securing a playoff spot.

Thus, following yesterday’s dramatic exit, disheartened Dhoni fans didn’t miss a beat, seizing the opportunity to poke fun at Virat Kohli and his team. Social media was soon flooded with a wave of memes and playful jabs, turning the virtual space into a lively battleground of banter.
CSK fans didn’t stop there—they were seen celebrating across the streets, in restaurants, and virtually everywhere, turning their jealousy into public jubilation.
In the game, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first against RCB in Ahmedabad. RCB’s innings began promisingly with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, but du Plessis fell early to Trent Boult. Kohli, despite his good form, was dismissed for 33. Steady contributions from Cameron Green (27) and Rajat Patidar (34) kept the innings alive, but frequent wickets slowed their progress. Mahipal Lomror’s quickfire 32 off 17 balls helped RCB reach a total of 172/8.
In response, RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tom Kohler-Cadmore provided a solid start, though Cadmore departed for 20. Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson pushed the score past 80 in 10 overs, but their dismissals left RR in a tight spot. A crucial partnership between Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer steadied the chase until Mohammed Siraj took both their wickets in the 18th over.
