Mumbai Indians (MI) had a forgettable 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season as they finished in tenth place with only four wins from 14 matches.
Nita Ambani, owner of MI, gave a heartwarming speech to help lift the mood of the team after a rather disappointing IPL 2024 season as she acknowledged that they did not have a great outing this time around.
Mumbai Indians posted a video on social in which Nita Ambani addressed the dressing room.
“Disappointing season for all of us. Things didn’t go the way we wanted them to, but I’m still a huge Mumbai Indians fan. Not just an owner. I think wearing the Mumbai Indians jersey is a huge honour and a privilege, and to be associated with Mumbai Indians, for me, is an honour and a privilege. I think, we will go back, review and think about it,” Nita said in the video.
Nita Ambani also wished luck to the MI players who will be representing India at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
“To Rohit, Hardik, Surya (Suryakumar Yadav) and (Jasprit) Bumrah, I think, all Indians are cheering for you. We wish you all the best,” she said.
