Recently, Mahindra launched the XUV 3XO which wowed everyone with its feature list. One of the talking points was the first in segment panoramic sunroof. Mahindra proudly showcased the panoramic sunroof in its teasers, launch event and official advertisement. However, Tata Motors don’t really want to fall behind and is possibly readying the Nexon with a panoramic sunroof! With sales dropping for the Nexon, this update could be a major boost.

Tata Nexon Panoramic Sunroof – Video
New Features
As seen in the video, Tata Nexon is equipped with a panoramic sunroof. Now you might argue that it could be an aftermarket fitment which we do agree with. However, as we can see, the SUV is likely inside the Tata Motors factory. Also, there is no such offer from Tata Motors through which they will offer panoramic sunroof as an optional or additional payment. This clearly means that the Nexon in the video is equipped with a panoramic sunroof as a factory fitment!
Along with the panoramic sunroof, we have noticed two new elements in the Nexon. Firstly, the shape of the IRVM looks different from what the current Nexon has. This could be a possibility of the Nexon getting a frameless IRVM for a premium appeal. The second interesting feature is the addition of a 45 W type-c charging socket! Currently, Tata Nexon gets a 5 V type-c charging but in the video we can see the fast charging outlet. So overall, it seems like Tata wants to stay ahead of the competition and challenge the recently launched XUV 3XO.

What Else?
Other changes on the model include a new dual-tone colour scheme for the cabin. While the dashboard and the seats still continue with the black theme, the roof lining along with the sun blinds are beige in colour making the overall cabin lighter and airy. Additionally, expect the updated Tata Nexon to come with features like Level-2 ADAS and dual-zone climate control. Additionally, we can also expect the Nexon to come with extra JBL speakers for enhanced music experience.

Tata Nexon Panoramic Sunroof – Launch
Now it is not sure when the brand will launch the Nexon with panoramic sunroof. However, we do hope Tata will bring these new additions with the upcoming Nexon iCNG. Pricing-wise, Tata could try to undercut the panoramic sunroof variants of the XUV 3XO. That said, will the Nexon become the cheapest SUV with a panoramic sunroof?
