There is a special kind of glow on a person’s face when they are in love. And we caught a glimpse of that on Aditi Rao Hydari when we sat down with her for an exclusive interview. When we transitioned from talking about Heeramandi (available on Netflix) and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to her recent engagement to actor Siddharth, Aditi was beaming with pride. “That is something that when the time comes you will know,” she said when we asked her about the impending wedding.
As for her fiancé, an evidently proud Aditi said, “Siddharth is a very very special artist and a very special human being. Like all heart (and) does everything from heart and he is a real cinema boy. I mean he lives, breathes and eats cinema but he is also a lot of fun. Hilarious in fact. Very entertaining (laughs!) And, you know Gaurav Gupta? I am very close to him and he is very protective of me. He was like ‘I have to meet this Siddharth’. I was like ‘Sure, anytime’. And he met him and said, ‘Oh, same. Pixie, pixie’.”
The actress, who is winning hearts the world over with her strong and feisty character Bibbojaan in Heeramandi, was quite shy talking about her now-viral engagement picture. “Already it’s out. Everybody knows everything, bas!”
Is she happy? “Of course, I was very happy and it was a time that the family was together and it was also festival time for us. So, it was a special time.”
