Sulfonylureas
Sulfonylureas, such as glimepiride and glyburide, work by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin. While effective, they can cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can lead to dizziness, confusion, and sweating. Weight gain is another potential side effect.
