The auspicious Dasara season is finally upon us and with it comes the customary flurry of new theatrical releases. As many as 6 new films are arriving in theaters this Dasara season and here’s a look into the same.
Firstly, we have Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan which is being dubbed and released in Telugu. The film is arriving on the 10th of this month and there isn’t much going into its promotional campaign so it is bound to get a low-key start.

Then we have Gopichand and Srinu Vaitla’s Viswam and Sudheer Babu’s Maa Nanna Superhero which are releasing on the 11th of this month. These films are also releasing in a low-key manner. Suhas is coming with Janaka Aithe Ganaka on 12 October which is coming with a new concept.
Lastly, we have dubbing films Jigra and Martin which feature Alia Bhatt and Dhruv Sarja respectively.

What must be said here is that neither of the Dasara films have much going their way which is a pity in itself. All these films are set for a very sedate start and some of them might even go unnoticed by the Telugu audience. There is a lot of volatility.
Usually, the Dasara season has 2-3 new outings but despite an overkill this year, there isn’t a single film of the lot that has much going its way. We shall see and genuinely hope at least a couple of them strike the right chord and pull the audience to theaters.
