Another one of the most highly anticipated vehicles that will making its debut next month is MSIL’s all-new crosssover – YTB Baleno Cross. With its large front grille, split headlight design, and LED light bar on the boot lid, the Baleno Cross will be heavily inspired by the brand’s newly launched Grand Vitara compact SUV. Furthermore it will have a raised ground clearance, new alloy wheels, and roof rails as well.

The 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which was formerly offered in the Baleno RS is anticipated to make a reappearance in the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross. This engine’s maximum output in the Baleno RS was 100 PS and 150 Nm, and it is anticipated that these numbers would be duplicated in the Baleno Cross. Another option is that it will continue to use the 1.2-liter 90 PS K12C Dualjet engine now found in the Baleno hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki will finally take the covers off of the five-door Jimny in the Auto Expo 2023. According to sources it will inveil the SUV at the Expo but its official launch will take place in August of next year. Recently the company also halted the production of the three door Jimny which it produces in its Gurugram facilty. Sources claimed that the company is upgrading the produciton line to accomodate the prodction of the forthcoming five door SUV. MSIL is aiming to sell around 5000-6000 units of the Jimny in India every month.

The five door Jimny in terms of design will not differ a lot from the three door iteration and will come powered with the petrol-only, 1.5 liter K15 engine. This naturally aspirated, 4 cylinder motor makes about 102 Bhp of peak power and 137 Nm of peak torque, and is a generation behind the K15C petrol that most new Maruti Suzuki SUVs including the new Brezza and Grand Vitara come with.

Till now Maruti Suzuki India Limted has provided the Japanese automaker Toyota with three of its vehicles to sell it under its moniker. And it is about time that Toyota returns this favour to the country’s largest automaker. Reportedly this time Toyota will be providing the Hycross as a base to Maruti Suzuki to create its own version of the premium MPV. Toyota is working on a C-MPV that it will also share with Maruti Suzuki.

It would be fascinating to see whether the brand-new Innova HyCross or a smaller MPV that sits between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta will be the new C-MPV that Toyota aims to share with Maruti Suzuki. However as the information on this vehicle is very scarce we cannot be one hundred percent about anything.

One of the most popular hatchbacks that the company produces is the Swift and reportedly its newest iteration will be launched some time in late next year. According to reports, India will most probably be one of the first countries to get the all-new fourth-generation Suzuki Swift since it consistently ranks among the top ten-selling vehicles here each month.

The current 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated 90 PS petrol engine will still be available, along with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options, even though the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift will have an entirely new exterior and interior design. Rumors suggest that Maruti Suzuki may also offer a brand-new powerful hybrid engine option for the next Swift, with an anticipated fuel economy of about 35 km/l.
