Siva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. It has grossed around Rs. 220 crore in India, making it the seventh highest-grossing film in Tamil cinema history.
The film had a strong third weekend even though it faced tough competition from the new release Kanguva.

It looks like footfall-wise, Amaran will surpass Tamil’s biggest star hero Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT in Tamil Nadu.
Globally, the movie has touched the Rs. 300 crore mark, including Rs. 9.10 million from overseas markets.

If not for Kanguva’s release, Amaran would have likely surpassed other top films like Baahubali 2, Jailer, and The GOAT.
Audiences are pouring in, and the film is on track to surpass most of the all-time top grossers, except for Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Mani Ratnam’s PS1, Vijay’s Leo, and The Greatest Of All Time.
