Laddu Auction is one of the special events in Ganesh Nimmajanam.
After doing Rituals for days, the Laddu placed in each Pandal will be auctioned. People will take it prestigiously and bid high amounts for the Laddu. It is believed that these Laddus will bring luck to the bidder.

The laddu is then distributed between kith and kin.
A Laddu Auction in one of the posh gated communities of Hyderabad fetched a record amount. In My Home Bhooja of HITEC City, a resident bid 29 Lakh Rupees for the Laddu.

This is the highest bid for any Laddu auction in Hyderabad’s Gated Communities this year.
It is to be noted that Hyderabad’s popular Balapur Ganesh Laddu auction fetched 27 Lakh Rupees last year. This is even more.

Last year, in one of the posh villa projects of Hyderabad, the Laddu auction fetched a record ₹1.26 crore. But the bid was collectively by over 150 donors for a charity. My Home Bhooja Laddu is a single buyer.
We will have to see what will be the record this year.
