sennder, a German digital road freight forwarder, today announced that it will hit €1 billion in annual revenue for this year, as well as completing the integration of C.H. Robinson’s European operations.

The delivery scale-up has raised over €340 million in funding and is now on track to deliver IFRS EBITDA profitability for the full year of 2026. sennder now operates as one business on one platform, sennOS, moving more than 150,000 shipments a month through a network of more than 40,000 vetted carriers.

“Continued operational momentum and sustained profitability puts us in an even stronger position to invest in the digital transformation of freight,” says David Nothacker, co-founder and CEO of sennder. “We brought two large businesses onto one platform and lifted operator productivity by 45% in the process, and this milestone reinforces sennder’s role as a dependable partner for customers and carriers alike and enables us to keep raising the standard for reliability, efficiency and innovation in European road freight.”

To understand sennder’s landmark, it is important to look at the wider transport/cargo sector in Europe and the developing competition – as well as the funding being distributed in 2026.

These include Berlin-based cargo.one with nearly €17 million for multimodal freight software and Ukraine-based Cargofy with €5.2 million in primary funding for AI-powered freight operations.

In Germany, FRYTE Mobility raised €3.5 million for electric truck charging coordination and NexDash secured €2.5 million for road-freight electrification, while Belgium’s Vectrix raised €1.15 million for transport-order automation.

These announcements represent approximately €29.4 million in new company funding.

EU-Startups previously covered sennder’s €131.2 million Series D in 2021 and CEO David Nothacker’s discussion of the C.H. Robinson transaction in 2025.

Founded in 2015, sennder is a digital road freight forwarder, leveraging data and technology to increase efficiency and transparency in road logistics, with the aim of reducing empty miles and optimising transport flows.

sennder connects shippers with a broad network of carriers, with the goal of enabling low-emission, cost-effective transport while supporting carriers in navigating a traditionally fragmented industry.

Over the past 12 months, these initiatives have prevented more than 31,000 tonnes of CO2e emissions.

For sennder, today’s achievement is driven by putting profitability and revenue quality ahead of volume growth, actively optimising its customer portfolio.

Operator productivity, measured as gross profit per operator, rose 45% YoY. sennder attributes the increase to scale, the single integrated platform and its growing use of reasoning AI agents which work alongside teams, supporting them in serving customers at scale.

The AI agents reason across vast volumes of live network data to match loads with the right capacity, price shipments in real time and resolve issues before they escalate, streamlining operations further.

With profitability established, sennder will continue to invest in its platform, its AI agents and its European carrier network. The focus is profitable growth: growing volume that is sustainable and supports reliable service for customers and carriers.
