US-based AI healthtech startup Confido Health has raised $12.5 Mn (about ₹119 Cr) in a Series A extension led by Z47, taking its total Series A funding to $22.5 Mn.
Existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated in the round. Healthcare private equity investor Justin Saks has joined the startup as an investor and board adviser.
The startup will use the fresh capital to expand its CareOS platform across healthcare organisations with multiple sites and develop AI agents for additional workflows and medical specialities.
Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health develops AI agents to automate administrative tasks for healthcare providers, including patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription refills, and payment collection.
Its CareOS platform integrates with more than 50 healthcare systems, including electronic health records, practice management software, and billing platforms. This allows providers to automate tasks across their existing systems without replacing their technology infrastructure.
Confido Health initially focused on voice AI for patient calls before expanding into broader healthcare administration. Its platform connects related tasks, allowing a patient interaction to trigger follow-up work such as scheduling an appointment, processing a prescription refill, or collecting a payment.
The startup primarily targets healthcare groups operating across multiple sites, particularly those backed by private equity firms. Its distribution strategy involves working with private equity investors to secure introductions to their portfolio companies.
Confido Health said it serves 3,200 providers across more than 1,500 sites in 27 US states, with its AI agents enabling one in 50 Americans to access healthcare. It claimed 15-fold growth since its previous funding round but did not specify the metric.
The startup reported AI handling rates above 95% across key end-to-end administrative workflows. It said deployments added operational capacity equivalent to three to five full-time employees on average within three months, while patient satisfaction averaged 4.55 out of five across approximately one million tasks.
The fundraise comes amid investor bets on AI applications across healthcare, from administrative automation to patient guidance and early disease detection.
Earlier, Inc42 reported that AI health companion startup August AI was in talks to raise about $4 Mn from Peak XV Partners. The startup helps users understand symptoms, prescriptions, medications, and medical reports.
Earlier this year, Practo cofounder Shashank ND’s new venture Cent raised about $5 Mn from his family office OneFlow Holdings and South Park Commons. Cent uses AI and health data to detect critical diseases early.
Indian healthtech startups raised $93 Mn across 13 deals in Q3 2026 till September 24.
