Awfis shares have tanked in recent months amid broader market pressure, institutional selling and valuation adjustments

Early backer Peak XV Partners has sold 12.2 Lakh shares of coworking space provider AwfisAwfis Datalabs_in-article-icon in a bulk deal worth ₹29.8 Cr. 

According to NSE data, the VC giant, via its affiliate entity Peak XV Partners Investment V, offloaded the shares at ₹245 apiece to rake in the amount. The investor sold the shares at a discount of 0.9% to the stock’s last closing price on Friday.

With this, Peak XV has diluted more than half of its shareholding in the coworking space provider. At the end of June 2026, the VC major held a 3.24% stake, or 23.2 Lakh shares, in Awfis. 

As the shares flooded the market, Kritagyata Trust lapped up 11.5 Lakh shares at ₹244.97 apiece for a cumulative sum of ₹28.2 Cr. There was no clarity on who picked up the rest of the shares. 

The bulk deal comes as Peak XV looks to pare some of the losses amid a downward spiral in Awfis shares. While the stock has jumped 5% in the past week, it has tanked more than 58.6% in the past year and is hovering close to its 52-week low of ₹229.55. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, shares of the listed company are down 49.87%.

Awfis shares have tanked amid broader market pressure, institutional selling and valuation adjustments. Nevertheless, the listed company continues to put up a healthy show on the financial front, 

The coworking space provider’s net profit zoomed 140% to ₹24 Cr in the first quarter (Q1) of the fiscal year 2026-27 (FY27) compared to ₹10 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, operating revenue also jumped nearly 27% to ₹424.9 Cr in the quarter under review from ₹334.7 Cr in Q1 FY26. 

Founded in 2015 by Amit Ramani, Awfis is a tech-enabled workspace solutions platform, catering to enterprises, freelancers, startups, and SMEs. 

At the end of June 2026, the company operated 251 centres, around 1.7 Lakh seats and about 84 Lakh square feet of chargeable area. It also caters to 100+ global capability centres (GCCs), which contributed 24% of its rental revenue in Q1 FY27.

Shares of Awfis closed Friday’s trading session 3.7% higher at ₹247.15 on the BSE.
