
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) offloaded 3.5 Cr shares of Lenskart in a bulk deal at ₹683.02 apiece, minting ₹2,390.6 Cr

Amid a bull run for LensKart, early investor Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) today offloaded 3.5 Cr shares of the company via its holding entity Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust.
The investor raked in ₹2,390.6 Cr via the bulk deal which valued each share at ₹683.02. This is slightly higher than the stock’s closing price for the day.
This is the second instance of ADIA paring its stake in the eyewear giant in recent months. Earlier, in June, it offloaded 4 Cr shares in a block deal worth ₹1,960 Cr.
The company’s shares have rallied significantly since then. For comparison, the June block deal valued a share at ₹490, about 40% lower than today’s closing price.
At the end of the June quarter, ADIA’s Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust held 16.98 Cr shares or 9.77% stake in the company. Hence, the shares offloaded today represent slightly over 20% of the shares held by ADIA, or just around 2% of the company’s total equity.
Lenskart’s shares have rallied 51.3% on a year-to-date basis, providing its early investors a fertile ground to register gains. Investors like SoftBank, Temasek and Alpha Wave have offloaded stake in droves in the company over the past few months.
Most recently, BNP Paribas, Societe Generale and US-based hedge fund Millennium Management offloaded shares worth ₹2,670.2 Cr via multiple bulk deals on September 1.
Lenskart touched an all-time high of ₹725 on September 18 (Friday). The shares made their public market debut at ₹390 apiece on the BSE in November 2025.
The bull run comes amid multiple positive brokerage notes after the eyewear major’s strong Q1 FY27 performance. Jefferies raised its target price to ₹680 from ₹600, while Macquarie increased its target to ₹675 from ₹625.
The bullish outlook followed a 273% YoY jump in Lenskart’s consolidated net profit to ₹228.4 Cr in Q1 FY27, from ₹61.2 Cr a year earlier. Its operating revenue also grew 43% YoY and 8% QoQ to ₹2,714.2 Cr.
However, shares of Lenskart closed today’s trading session 3.3% lower at ₹683.85 on the NSE.
