Listed NBFC KisshtKissht Datalabs_in-article-icon has secured board approval to raise up ₹832.2 Cr via a preferential issue of equity shares to 34 investors and entities. 

In a filing with the exchanges, the company said that its board has approved the issuance of 2.6 Cr fully paid-up equity shares to the investors at an issue price of ₹314.11 apiece. The NBFC did not disclose how it plans to utilise the fresh proceeds from the issue.

The allotment is still subject to regulatory and shareholder approval. The company has also convened an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders to seek approval for the preferential issue.

“Funds raising by way of a preferential issue on a private placement basis of up to 2,64,93,882 fully paid-up equity shares of the company… for cash, at an issue price of ₹314.11 per share… for an amount aggregating to ₹832.19 Cr to identified investors (non-promoters), in accordance with the provisions of… applicable laws….,” read the filing.

Among the investing companies, Axis Flexi Cap Fund, Axis Multi Cap Fund and Axis Small Cap Fund together will receive 63.7 Lakh shares worth nearly ₹200 Cr. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, via two entities, will also receive 27.1 Lakh shares totalling ₹85 Cr.

Envision Capital will also get 12.7 Lakh shares valued at nearly ₹40 Cr, while PE firm First Bridge will lap up 12.1 Lakh shares for a sum of ₹20 Cr. 

Kissht will also allot 23.9 Lakh shares to three entities linked to Ashoka WhiteOak Capital for a consideration of nearly ₹75 Cr. Other investors that will receive allotment under the preferential issue include 360 One, Alchemy Capital, Groww, Bandhan Small Cap Fund, Unity Small Finance Bank, among others.

In terms of the other individual investors, Ameeta Rajendra Naik will receive 63,671 shares worth ₹2 Cr and Anil Shah will get 1.6 Lakh shares valued at nearly ₹5 Cr.

The latest fundraise comes barely four months after the NBFC made a strong debut on the exchanges, listing at a premium of 11.7% on the BSE compared to its issue price of ₹171. Its public issue comprised a fresh issue of shares worth ₹850 Cr and an OFS component totalling ₹76 Cr.

Founded in 2015 by Ranvir Singh and Krishnan Vishwanathan, Kissht is a lending tech platform that offers digital personal and business loans of up to ₹5 Lakh. It also offers health-related insurance products and secured loans through loans against property.

In July, it also received regulatory approval to begin distribution of mutual funds through its wholly-owned subsidiary Invincible Minds.

The NBFC claimed to have 45+ active lending and co-lending partners under its belt at the end of June 2026. It also operated 101 offline branches across eight states and union territories, and managed to more than double YoY its active customer base to 3.49 Mn in Q1 FY27. 

On the financial front, Kissht’s consolidated net profit zoomed 59% to ₹95.1 Cr in Q1 FY27 as against ₹59.7 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, operating revenue zoomed nearly 45% to ₹669.5 Cr during the quarter under review as against ₹463.1 Cr in Q1 FY26. 

Shares of the NBFC closed Thursday’s trading session 5.08% higher at ₹359.7 on the BSE.
