Kapital, the Mexican business bank built on artificial intelligence, raised $125M in equity and debt as an extension of the Series C it closed in 2025. The round lifts the company’s valuation above $1.3B.

Founded in 2020 by René SaúlFernando Sandoval, and Eder Echeverría, Kapital provides financial services to businesses through a platform that uses AI to manage and automate their finances. Its products include bank accounts, credit, cards, cash flow management, brokerage, and fund management.

With the funds Kapital will accelerate the development of its AI platform and deepen its expansion in Mexico and the United States.

Kapital serves more than 350,000 clients across Mexico, Colombia, Spain and the United States. In the first half of 2026 it posted net income close to $50M and a loan portfolio above $1.7B, up 220% year over year. Deposits passed $3.5B, a 234% increase.
