Colombian fintech Plenti raised a $3M seed round led by Tether with participation from Verda Ventures.

Founded in Medellín, Plenti provides foreign exchange and investment services to consumers and businesses. Its platform enables international transactions, offers annual returns of up to 8% on account balances, and allows users to invest as little as $6 in US stocks, ETFs, and crypto assets.

Plenti will use the funding to strengthen its operations in Colombia and expand into Peru and Bolivia.

Plenti has more than 150,000 active users and processes over $3.1B in annual transactions across its B2B and B2C businesses.
