Uruguayan debt collection startup hiSofi raised $1M from SaaSholic and Uruguay’s National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), which contributed $250,000 through its matching funds program.

Leonardo Paladino and Tatiana Pomar founded hiSofi to automate debt collection using artificial intelligence. The platform analyzes debtor behavior to determine the best channel, timing, and strategy for each interaction, while allowing consumers to negotiate payment plans online.

hiSofi will use the funding to build an AI and data science hub in Uruguay and expand its engineering, data, and product teams.

hiSofi operates in six Latin American countries and serves clients including iFood, Natura, and Credicard. In 2025, hiSofi managed more than 44 million debts, secured over 451,000 payment agreements, and recovered $61M for clients.
