The Vuyyuru police have arrested a photographer, D. Ramakrishna, on the charge of harassing a woman by creating a fake account in her name on a social media platform.

Ramakrishna, a native of Vuyyuru, allegedly created the fake account in the name of the complainant and harassed her, Krishna district Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu said.

“The team led by Vuyyuru Circle Inspector T.V.V. Ramarao and the cybercrime police found that Ramakrishna had created the fake account and was sending obscene messages to others in her name. He was arrested on Wednesday (August 12, 2026),” the SP said.

Mr. Vidyasagar Naidu said stern action would be taken against those who harass and humiliate women and children through social media platforms.
