Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹8,635 crore across various sectors during the Investment Dialogue held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These proposals are expected to create more than 5,785 employment opportunities. More than 500 industrialists, investors and corporate representatives from major industrial centres of Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara, participated in the dialogue and expressed interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed leading industrialists and investors from across the country at the Mega Investment Dialogue— Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh — held in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers immense opportunities for business, setting up new industrial units, expanding existing ones and scaling up operations. Investment in Madhya Pradesh has always been a profitable proposition. Welcoming investors from across the country on behalf of the State’s 8.5 crore people, the Chief Minister said the State Government would provide every possible facility, security and support to investors.

The Chief Minister said, referring to the development drive underway across the country under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership to build a self-reliant India, Madhya Pradesh’s new industrial policies are receiving appreciation from the industry. He said, “For running an industry, what is primarily needed is a sound policy, good intent and a supportive government. You will find all three in Madhya Pradesh.”

Inviting Gujarat’s industry leaders to the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027 in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, “You have the experience, and we have the opportunities. If our opportunities are combined with your experience, together we can create history.” He called upon industrialists to become partners in Madhya Pradesh’s growth journey and said, “Come, invest in Madhya Pradesh without hesitation and with an open heart, and become part of this historic journey of development.”

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said investors in Madhya Pradesh need not worry about electricity, water or land. Industrial land is available on lease at concessional rates, the State has adequate water reserves and surplus power, and plug-and-play zones are being developed. As many as 48 new industrial parks are being developed across nearly 19,000 acres. The Chief Minister said, describing the single-window system as “end of problems, instant service,” that solutions to every hurdle are available on a single digital platform. Highlighting seamless connectivity as a major strength of Madhya Pradesh, he said the State has a road network of more than 5 lakh kilometres, strong rail connectivity, eight airports, six inland container depots, expressways and highways. He added that trained and skilled manpower is also readily available in the State.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, highlighting the industrial potential and scope for high-quality mutual cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, the two States are like twin brothers. Gujarat brings technological expertise, business acumen and industrial experience, while Madhya Pradesh offers abundant water resources, a large land bank and a strategic logistics advantage due to its central location. Combining these unique strengths can create a new chapter of industrial development in the region.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offers vast opportunities for Gujarat’s petrochemical, chemical, textile, pharma, food processing and automobile sectors. The large petrochemical refinery in Bina, the state-of-the-art Medical Device Park being developed over 360 acres in Ujjain, PM MITRA Parks in Dhar and Navsari, and the strong automobile base in Pithampur further strengthen the prospects for industrial cooperation between the two States. He said Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than ₹34 lakh crore across various sectors over the past two and a half years, of which investments worth more than ₹10 lakh crore have already been grounded. Policies related to renewable energy, pumped hydro and biomass have facilitated investments, with ₹7.19 lakh crore invested in these sectors.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the land of Gujarat has contributed to the country’s prosperity since the era of Lord Krishna. Gujarat has given the nation great personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Today, under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, India is moving towards becoming a leading nation in the world. He said Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are like two sons of Maa Narmada. The waters of the Narmada are providing adequate drinking and irrigation water to both States. Prime Minister Shri Modi has fulfilled his commitment to the Sardar Sarovar Dam. Conditions are becoming increasingly favourable for both States to advance in industries, business, culture and other sectors. The Chief Minister said entrepreneurship and business create employment and livelihood opportunities for many people. He said, “We are people who move forward on the principle of ‘live and let live.”

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, welcoming industrialists and entrepreneurs attending the Mega Investment Dialogue, that the relationship with Gujarat dates back to the time of Mahatma Gandhi. All States jointly participated in the freedom struggle, while Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel from Gujarat played a key role in laying the foundation of modern India. The Chief Minister said Lord Krishna received his education in Madhya Pradesh and later became Dwarkadhish and Jagadguru in Gujarat. He said Gujarat is the land that bestowed the honorific “Shri” upon Krishna and brought prosperity. The Chief Minister said a new chapter of relations between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is now emerging, inviting entrepreneurs from Gujarat to establish industries in Madhya Pradesh and assuring them of full government support. He said Gujarat has immense potential in petrochemicals, chemicals, textiles, pharma and energy. Gujarat’s textile industry is renowned globally. Prime Minister Shri Modi laid the foundation stone of the PM MITRA Park being developed over 2,000 acres in Dhar district, where investments are rapidly coming in. The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Shri Modi is also from Gujarat and, under his leadership, India is creating a distinct global identity.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said coordination between Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat is rapidly increasing, reflecting Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of prosperity for the States. Emphasis has been laid on necessary cooperation between the States in the context of the Sardar Sarovar Project. Adequate guidance and support from the Centre have been available to both States during Prime Minister Shri Modi’s tenure. The environment is becoming increasingly favourable for mutual cooperation and balanced growth across various sectors.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the State Government has implemented robust policies for industrial development. Special efforts have been made in the renewable energy sector, and Madhya Pradesh has surplus power availability. Electricity generated in Madhya Pradesh is also powering metro trains in Delhi. He said Madhya Pradesh offers among the lowest electricity tariffs in the country.

The State Government has created a positive investment environment by implementing industry-friendly policies. He said investment incentives promised to investors have been paid to large industries and MSME units up to the previous month. The Government has also cleared the backlog of subsidies through its commitment to investors.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, extending greetings on Youth Day, that opportunities are being created for youth to advance in every sector in Madhya Pradesh. The State has immense potential in tourism, IT and food processing. The Government has resolved to develop metropolitan cities in Indore-Ujjain and Bhopal by integrating neighbouring districts. He said medical colleges and industries are being established in Madhya Pradesh at a rapid pace. The State has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. The Chief Minister also highlighted the State’s initiatives in renewable energy, investments across various sectors, and industry-friendly policies that are creating a positive investment environment.

Shri Chintan Thakkar, owner of Gujarat-based Welspun Transformation Services Limited, shared his experience of investing in Madhya Pradesh. He said Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are not only sister States but also future growth engines of the country. Shri Thakkar said that his company entered Madhya Pradesh in 2011 and established a unit on the Dewas-Bhopal Road to manufacture water pipes. The Madhya Pradesh Government granted all necessary approvals for establishing the industry within just 12 months. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the government is fulfilling its financial commitments to entrepreneurs and investors.

Additional Chief Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Neeraj Mandloi apprised investors of Madhya Pradesh’s strengths. He said neighbouring Gujarat has always inspired the country through its entrepreneurship, ability to overcome challenges and innovation. He said Madhya Pradesh has a land bank of more than one lakh acres for industrial development. Eight airports, 22 railway junctions and rapidly expanding logistics corridors provide strong connectivity. The State Government has planned eight dedicated industrial parks, including a Footwear Park in Morena, a Medical Device Park in Ujjain and a Plastic Park in Raisen. He said sector-based clusters are a key strength of Madhya Pradesh. NITI Aayog has recognised Madhya Pradesh as a leading State in framing investment promotion policies. The State’s industry-oriented policies are also being adopted by other States. These policies promote exports and investment incentives.

Madhya Pradesh is set to host the Global Investors Summit in January-February 2027. The State is the country’s largest wheat producer and third-largest milk producer, ensuring adequate availability of raw material for food processing. Pithampur has the country’s largest automobile testing track. The country’s largest PM MITRA Park for the textile sector is being developed in Dhar district, with investments worth more than ₹2,000 crore already received.

Madhya Pradesh’s Ease of Doing Business policies are supporting investors across sectors. New industrial parks are being developed in Bhopal, Jabalpur and Ujjain. With support from the Central Government, the country’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) is being developed in Gwalior. Tourism will become one of the biggest sources of employment in the future, he said, adding that Madhya Pradesh is a leading State in wildlife and religious tourism. The State Government is providing all possible support to entrepreneurs investing in the tourism sector. Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Shri M. Selvendra said Madhya Pradesh has immense potential for growth in the IT sector. Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur offer world-class facilities at lower costs than those in other States. The cost of living is also relatively low.

TCS operates a unit in Indore employing more than 16,000 people, while Infosys is also planning to expand its operations in the State. Compared to Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Madhya Pradesh offers much easier traffic conditions. The State Government is working to establish a new Space Tech Park. A green zone is also being developed in Bhopal for drone manufacturing infrastructure and drone testing. Under the Space Tech Policy, the Madhya Pradesh Government provides capital subsidies of 40% to 60%. The State’s Semiconductor Policy is receiving a positive response nationwide. The State Government is also providing support towards rent and staff salaries for setting up industries.

Shri Achal Bakeri, CMD of Symphony Limited and Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry’s Gujarat State Council, said Madhya Pradesh is the heartland of Incredible India. The State has set new benchmarks in tourism in recent years, with more than 14 crore domestic tourist visits recorded. He said Madhya Pradesh is now emerging as a leading destination for domestic tourism alongside traditionally popular destinations such as Goa and Himachal Pradesh. Ujjain and Chitrakoot are renowned for religious tourism; Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench National Parks for wildlife tourism; and Khajuraho, Mandu and Sanchi for historical heritage.

Considering the growth of tourism, the Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to increase the number of homestays. Tourism is strengthening the State economy while creating employment for local people. He said the hospitality sector in Madhya Pradesh offers immense opportunities for the Gujarati community and many Gujarati investors consider Madhya Pradesh their second home. He also highlighted the State’s progress in renewable energy and said investment proposals worth thousands of crores received at earlier investor meetings in Gujarat reflect investors’ confidence in Madhya Pradesh. Industry-friendly policies, transparency and an investment-friendly environment are attracting investors. Secretary, Transport and Commissioner, Public Relations Shri Manish Singh, Managing Director, MPIDC Limited Shri Chandramauli Shukla and other officials, along with more than 350 representatives from Gujarat’s industry, were present. An audio-visual film highlighting investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh was also screened during the interaction. Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri John Kingsley AR proposed the vote of thanks.

During the investment dialogue, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held more than 15 one-to-one meetings with leading industry groups. Detailed discussions were held on investment proposals, industrial expansion and investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh. Discussions with Arvind Limited covered expediting the proposed ₹1,200 crore investment at PM MITRA Park, incentives available for the textile and garment sector and development of environment-friendly industrial infrastructure. Discussions with Torrent Power Limited focused on the proposed 1,600 MW thermal power project in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh’s long-term energy security, creation of additional power generation capacity and future investment opportunities in the energy sector. Industry groups from petrochemicals, chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing, engineering, aerospace and defence, among other sectors, expressed interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh. One-to-one meetings included discussions on investment proposals from Chirpal Group, Goldcrest Cement, Gujarat Ambuja, Edzyos Polyfilms, Eris Lifesciences and other industry groups. Gujarat’s investors and industry representatives also expressed confidence in the State’s industrial policies, systems and leadership.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Goldcrest Cement has proposed an investment of ₹3,000 crore in the cement sector, expected to create 1,500 jobs. Edzyos Polyfilms Pvt. Ltd. has proposed an investment of ₹2,500 crore in the packaging sector, expected to create 1,000 jobs. Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited has proposed an investment of ₹1,200 crore in food processing, expected to create 500 jobs. He said Eris Lifesciences Limited has proposed an investment of ₹500 crore in pharmaceuticals, expected to create 800 jobs; Raghav Woven LLP ₹250 crore in textiles, creating 400 jobs; Bhavya Machine Tools ₹250 crore in engineering, creating 300 jobs; Jay Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd. ₹200 crore in chemicals, creating 100 jobs; and Balaji Multiflex Pvt. Ltd. ₹200 crore in packaging, creating 100 jobs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Shraddha Spun Pvt. Ltd. has proposed an investment of ₹160 crore in textiles, expected to create 600 jobs; Inner Engineering Products and Systems Pvt. Ltd. ₹150 crore in other sectors, creating 160 jobs; Optimized Group ₹100 crore in aerospace and defence, creating 120 jobs; JMK Food ₹50 crore in food processing, creating 75 jobs; Vibfast Group ₹50 crore in chemicals, creating 75 jobs; and Arunaya Organics Limited ₹25 crore in chemicals, creating 50 jobs. These investment proposals together amount to ₹8,635 crore and are expected to create 5,785 employment opportunities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than 34 lakh crore over the past two and a half years, while investments exceeding 10 lakh crore have already been grounded. He invited investors to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027.
