Security forces have arrested four militants having affiliation to different proscribed outfits from Manipur's Bishnupur district, police said on Sunday (August 9, 2026).

Khwairakpam Rojit Singh (21), a member of the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup outfit and involved in the recruitment of cadres, was arrested from Thamnapokpi Makha in Bishnupur district on Saturday (August 8, 2026), an official said.

In the Naorem Mayai Leikai area of the same district, Naorem Priyokumar Singh (37) was arrested for his alleged extortion activities, he said.

Moreover, two cadres — Akhom Premkumar Singh (55) and Ningthoujam Jiten Singh (46) — of Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdrenkhomba) were apprehended from Ngangkhalawai in Bishnupur district, police added.
