PolicyBazaar parent PB Fintech’s net profit almost doubled YoY to ₹162.9 Cr in the June quarter (Q1 FY27) from ₹84.7 Cr in the same quarter last year. 

Sequentially, the company’s PAT tumbled 38% from ₹261.2 Cr.

Operating revenue also jumped 40% YoY to ₹1,888.3 Cr in the quarter under review from ₹1,348 Cr in Q1 FY26. However, on a sequential basis, the fintech major’s top line declined 8% from ₹2,061.3 Cr in Q4 FY26.

Along with an other income of ₹93 Cr, total revenue for the quarter stood at ₹1,981.3 Cr. Meanwhile, total expenses for the quarter increased 33% YoY to ₹1,800.3 Cr.

The company’s EBITDA zoomed 305% to ₹139 Cr from ₹34 Cr in the same quarter last year.

Meanwhile, the adjusted EBITDA grew 109% YoY to ₹186 Cr in Q1 FY27 from ₹89 Cr in the corresponding period. 

On the operational front, the company’s total insurance premium for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹8,372 Cr , growing 41% YoY, while total lending disbursals rose 33% YoY to ₹4,366 Cr.  The insurance premium uptick came on the back of growth in core online new protection business at 53% YoY.

Its core renewal and trail revenue rose 38% YoY to ₹1,003 Cr, driven by a 55% jump in the insurance segment. On a quarterly annualised basis, core insurance renewal revenue reached ₹999 Cr, up 48% from a year ago.

The fintech major’s core online business, comprising insurance marketplace PolicyBazaar and credit marketplace Paisabazaar, remained the primary growth drivers for the quarter. 

Under PolicyBazaar, the company has now onboarded 15.9 Cr registered users and 2.8 Cr transacting customers, while facilitating the sale of 7.2 Cr insurance policies since inception. On the other hand, Paisabazaar expanded to 6.1 Cr users who have checked their credit scores, with 78 Lakh transacting customers to date.

During the quarter, this vertical handled 27 Lakh average monthly enquiries and facilitated 1.21 Cr transactions.

Besides its flagship platforms, PB Fintech’s partner enablement platform, PB Partners, expanded to support over 5 Lakh partners across nearly 19,000 pincodes. 

Shares of PB Fintech ended today’s trading session 1.3% higher at ₹1,630 apiece on the BSE.
