Grupo Cibest has acquired 100% of Colombian fintech Avista Colombia after meeting all regulatory and closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded seven years ago, Avista Colombia offers digital financial products for Colombia’s silver economy. The company specializes in payroll-backed loans and uses data-driven technology to expand access to credit, including in rural areas. Avista is a certified B Corporation, a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, and holds credit ratings from Fitch and BRC Ratings.

The acquisition will expand Avista’s funding capacity, strengthen its risk management, and enhance its operations through Grupo Cibest’s financial and technological resources. Avista will continue operating independently under its existing brand and business strategy.

Since its launch, Avista has served more than 146,000 customers, originated approximately $707M in loans, and reported a loan portfolio of about $366M as of June 2026. Avista operates in 1,007 municipalities across Colombia.
