Venture capital firm Elevation Capital today offloaded PaytmPaytm Datalabs_in-article-icon shares worth ₹2,038 Cr via multiple bulk and block deals. 

As per NSE data, the investment firm sold 97.43 Lakh shares via its holding entity SAIF III Mauritius Company and an additional 41.36 Lakh shares via its another entity, SAIF Partners India IV Ltd. 

The bulk deals materialised at an average selling price of ₹1,367.8. The VC firm also sold an additional 10.20 Lakh shares via a block deal at the same average selling price. 

The shares that flooded the market were picked up by foreign investors, insurance companies as well as domestic mutual funds. While mutual funds like Axis, Edelweiss, Franklin Templeton and Tata bolstered their holding in the company, international investors such as Susquehanna, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Societe Generale also doubled down on the fintech major.

This is the second instance when Elevation Capital has offloaded its stake in Paytm this year. Earlier in May, the VC firm sold shares worth ₹630 Cr. The firm still held slightly over 12% stake in the company across multiple entities at the end of the June 2026 quarter. 

Meanwhile, Elevation Capital also sold 5.24 Cr shares in Meesho today, raking in ₹974.6 Cr via another block deal. 

In the case of Paytm, the deals materialised at a near 3% discount from its today’s closing price of ₹1,408. The stock has largely been on a bull run since its financial disclosures for Q1 FY27 on July 20, gaining about 4.5% over the past couple of weeks.

On the financial front, Paytm’s consolidated net profit surged 79% YoY and 20% QoQ to ₹220 Cr in the first quarter (Q1) of the fiscal year 2026-27 (FY27), while operating revenue rose 28% YoY and 8% QoQ to ₹2,448 Cr.
