Andhra Pradesh Minister for MSME Kondapalli Srinivas said the teachings of Gautama Buddha would continue to inspire generations to come.

Along with Nellimarla MLA Lokam Naga Madhavi, he unveiled statues of the Buddha and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao at Parasam village in the Nellimarla constituency on Sunday (August 2, 2026) night. In a note released on Monday, he said Mr. Rama Rao had been inspired by the Buddha and had carried out many welfare schemes during his tenure.

Ms. Madhavi spoke of the Buddha’s teachings on sharing happiness, living in the present, turning the mind towards positive thoughts and non-attachment, and said they would make life simpler and happier.

Ms. Madhavi said she would develop two roads at a cost of ₹20 lakh, and take up the development of local temples with the support of the SriVani Trust.
