Entrepreneur and innovator Sharath Chandra Maroju has been elected Hyderabad Management Association president for the term beginning July 2026 to June 2027.

Co-founder and CEO of Syndic Engineers, a Hyderabad-based firm focused on energy and sustainable environment solutions, Mr.Maroju has filed a patent for a sustainable solution that generates green hydrogen from pharmaceutical wastewater. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Board of Technical Education instituted by the government of Telangana.

He brings to the role more than two decades of leadership across engineering, sustainability, and enterprise, HMA said, announcing his election.

Mr.Maroju, who has held leadership roles in Kirloskar Oil Engines, Thermax, Mitsubishi in the U.K and Flexible Mobility in Singapore and Malaysia, said “my agenda for the year ahead rests renewing the association’s foundations, reimagining how we engage our members and the wider community, and to rise as a centre of management excellence for the city and the region.
