Deputy CM condoles farmer’s death in elephant attack in Tirupati

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forest and Environment K. Pawan Kalyan expressed grief over the death of a farmer in an elephant attack at Pallaguttapalli village in Pakala mandal of Tirupati district. The farmer was identified as B. Timmareddy, aged about 65, from the same village.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan gathered details of the incident from Forest Department officials.

Such incidents occur despite all measures taken to monitor elephant movements and relay information to residents of nearby villages, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said, and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

He directed Forest Department officials and the Tirupati district administration to visit the family and provide immediate relief.
