
The owner of a paying guest (PG) accommodation was allegedly beaten to death following an altercation with two college students near Kasturinagar Main Road under the Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits in Bengaluru on June 22 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Madhav Matle (37), owner of Laxmi Narasimha PG. According to the police, the incident occurred between 6 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. in front of the PG.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, identified as Rakesh (21), a final-year B.Com student, and Don Brite Son (20), a first-year BBA student, were washing their legs using tap water inside the PG premises.
Matle allegedly objected to their actions, leading to a heated argument. During the altercation, the PG owner reportedly brought a cricket bat to assault the youths. However, the accused allegedly snatched the bat from him, and assaulted him with it.
Matle sustained severe injuries, and later succumbed.
Police suspect that the two accused had consumed alcohol before the incident. Both have been arrested, and are being questioned.
