Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (June 21, 2026) morning led the nation in observing the 12th International Day of Yoga from the Red Road in Kolkata.
This year’s theme for the International Day of Yoga was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting its role in promoting physical health, mental well-being, emotional resilience and active ageing, contributing to an improved quality of life.

As part of the nationwide observance, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda participated in a mass yoga session organised at Shantipath, New Delhi. The Union Health Minister joined citizens, healthcare professionals, officials and volunteers in performing various yoga asanas and breathing exercises.
